Robert Thomas Grimshaw Jr.

Robert T. Grimshaw, Jr., “Rob”, 73, of Tega Cay, SC, passed away at the Wayne Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC on Friday, July 9, 2021.

Rob was born on June 1, 1948 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Robert and Margaret (Hamilton) Grimshaw. He grew up in Cranford, NJ, but spent the majority of his high school years in Hawaii where he learned how to surf. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in NJ with a bachelor’s degree in business management, and worked in sales primarily in the foodservice and insurance industries. In his spare time, he loved working with his hands, scratching the bellies of his dogs, playing competitive tennis, and swinging a golf club.

Rob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Grimshaw of Tega Cay, SC; his son, Chad Grimshaw and his wife, Kelly, of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Joshua, Kaylin, and Mikayla; and his brother, Glenn Grimshaw, Sr. and his wife Jeanne of Clinton, NJ. In honor of Rob’s love for the ocean, there will be an ash scattering ceremony (venue and date TBD) for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the First Tee of Greater Charlotte.
