Peyton Boyd Obituary
Peyton Nicole Boyd, age 6, passed away May 7th 2020, following a lifelong illness. Peyton was born on July 3rd 2013 in Rock Hill, SC, to parents Eric and Erica Boyd.
Peyton had touched so many peoples live throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Everyone who came into her life instantly fell in love. Peyton's life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of life far exceeds the quantity of time in which you live it. Her smile could melt the hearts of those around her.
Although Peyton's illness made her seem frail, she had incredible strength and perseverance. Peyton loved being held and played with. She could spend hours playing on the floor with her toys, siblings, and grandparents. Some of her favorite things were the tags on her stuffed animals, noisy balls and books to flip through the pages over and over. There was hardly a time where she didn't have a smile on her face.
Although we will miss her dearly she will forever remain in our hearts. We are thankful for the time we got to spend with her.
Peyton leaves behind a great team of doctors and nurses at Levine children's hospital and specialty center that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. All of these special people provided her with love and dignity in her life.
Peyton is survived by her loving parents, Eric and Erica Boyd of Union, SC; Sisters, Autumn, Bailey, Addylynn, and Briar; brother, Dallas; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ronelle Johnson of Joliet, Il; paternal grandparents William and Vickie Boyd of York, SC; maternal great grandparents, Nancy and Larry Wilson of Marion, IN; Diane and Len Zapadinsky of San Antonio, Tx and Robert Johnson of Mountain home, AR. Uncles; Danny Boyd, Anthony Johnson, Robert Johnson, Daniel Johnson and William Johnson; Aunt, Angela Johnson and Jessica Boyd.
She is predeceased by maternal great grandparents, Ronald warren; paternal great grandparents, Finley and Marie Dover; Clyde and Louise Boyd.
An intimate family gathering for Peyton will be held at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home.
