Michael Charles Cahill

Michael Charles Cahill (73), passed away on January 28, 2023, surround by friends and family. Mike was born to Kathleen and Vincent Cahill on November 10, 1949, in Kingston, New York. He graduated from Kingston High School and attended St. Bonaventure University. Mike then enlisted in the United States Air Force to serve his country during the Vietnam War and afterwards became a self-employed cobbler, followed by a career as a merchandiser Colony Liquor Wine & Spirits/Empire Merchants North. He was an accomplished and dedicated endurance triathlete, who proudly completed two Ironman triathlons. This passion for athletics was shared by his close-knit group of friends, who called themselves “The Carbo-Connoisseurs.” Later in life, Mike retired to Indian Land, South Carolina, where he continued to craft his skills in woodworking and golf.  

Mike is survived by his son Mike and daughter-in-law Cassidy, grandson Charles Michael (Charlie), sisters Carol Peppard and Rose Bloom, brothers-in-law Jerry Peppard and Danny Bloom, several nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Cam Newton.
