Daniel Lowe Obituary

Mr. Daniel Lamont Lowe, age 72, was born on November 15, 1947 in Hartford Connecticut to the late Thomas Carter and Alberta Lowe Carter. He passed
from this earthly life to life eternal on Monday, July 6, 2020 at his home in Rock Hill South Carolina.

As a child, Danny as he was lovingly known, dreamed of becoming a Catholic priest. He attended the Hartford Seminary for three years before realizing
that he wanted to be married and raise a family. His family were devout Catholics and he was raised as such at St. Michael's Church in Hartford,
Connecticut.

Danny was a member of the United States Armed Forces for four years. He served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972 as an Private E-2; Infantry Fire Crewman. In light of this fact, he was accustomed to "fire fights" and handled them with valor and honor as he did the cancer that took him away from us. He was valiant to the end.  Danny worked for Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks Connecticut for eighteen (18) years. He moved to Charlotte North Carolina with his family in 1993 where he worked for NAPA Genuine Auto Parts for twenty-one (21)
years.  Danny has been a member of The Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor George Shears III) since April 7,2002. He enjoyed being a Deacon and he loved singing in the choir. His lead song was God is My Everything and boy would he sing and dance when he sang that song. He also served on the Mens' Missionary Board.  Deacon Daniel Lowe was a member of United Missionary Baptist Association/Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church since September 26, 2014. Danny was also a member of The American Legion Hartford
Connecticut Chapter since November 1973 and remains a member of the Rock Hill South Carolina Chapter.

On June 7, 1973, he married the former Yvonne Carol Gamble. They were the proud parents of one son, Tamaiya Lamarr Lowe, who proceeded Daniel in death in 1987. Yvonne Lowe was his lifelong companion, friend and caregiver. She exemplified true love and remained by his side day and night during his time of illness.  Daniel Lowe was a very giving person who regularly gave donations to churches, charitable organizations and people in need. He LOVED his family both immediate and extended.  Danny met many people throughout his life and because of his unmatched memory, he remembered them all. Even when his eyesight began to fail, he knew exactly who they were by the sound of their voice.

Left to fondly cherish his memory are his wife of forty-seven (47) years, Mrs. Yvonne Carol Lowe; his two daughters: Kimshasia Daneane Lowe Ledbetter and Keishana Danielle Lowe; both of Charlotte North Carolina; A loving Son-in-Law, Mark Stephen Ledbetter who he cherished dearly, also of Charlotte North Carolina.; Three Granddaughters: Elexiss Marquise Ledbetter, Ennovy Danielle Ledbetter, and Erinn Delore Ledbetter, all of Charlotte North Carolina; Four Grandsons: Josiah Lamont Jn-Marie, KeyJuan Dupris Bryant,; and Akanni Dumaka Hensley, all of Charlotte North Carolina and Tamaiya Lamarr Jn-Marie, Tanaiya Jn-Marie (Granddaughter-in-law) and Khalil Jn-Marie (Great Grandson)) of Snow Hill North Carolina.  Danny also leave a VERY SPECIAL friend, Mr. John E.
