Dale Brian Wilson

Dale Brian Wilson, 59, beloved husband and father, father-in-law and friend, passed away unexpectedly in Appling, GA on July 18, 2021. 

Dale will be remembered as a committed believer in Christ, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and steadfast and caring throughout his career. 

Dale was born on April 10, 1962, in Chattanooga, TN, to his father the late Robert Wilson, and his mother Regina Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Zina Wilson, his mother Regina Wilson (McDonald, TN), his brother Doug Wilson (McDonald, TN), his brother Clint Wilson (Cleveland, TN), his son Dustin Wilson (Fort Mill, SC), his daughter-in-law Kristen Wilson (Fort Mill, SC), his granddaughter Nora Wilson, his grandson Elijah Wilson, and many other close family and friends. 

Dale was deeply committed to his walk with the Lord, devoted to daily prayer and scripture reading. He loved being a grandfather and teaching his grandkids his love of woodworking, car mechanics, and fishing. Those who knew Dale, knew he was true to his word, genuine as they come, and cared for his family and others more than anything else.

Dale was a committed member of Abilene Baptist Church in Appling, GA. Earlier in his life he was a committed member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Trenton, GA, and served as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher. 

Dale began his career as an electrician by attending trade school in 1979, later becoming a master electrician. A life-long learner, Dale advanced into plant maintenance and reliability, excelling in several roles and finishing his career as a reliability engineer with Georgia Pacific. Later in his career Dale became a published author in reliability trade publications. 

A funeral service in his honor will be held Sunday, July 25th, 2021 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home at 12:00 pm, with a visiting hour starting beforehand at 11:00am. Flowers may be sent to Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home at 700 Heckle Blvd. Rock Hill, SC 29730

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Anne Springs Close Greenway or Children’s Attention Home of Rock Hill.
