Charles Edward Williamson at the age of 59 was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Charles was born and grew up in the then small city of Rock Hill, SC where he developed impactful friendships and worth ethic that led to an amazing decorated 20-year career in the United States Army which allowed him to earn Bachelor of Arts major in Business Management with a minor in Theology leading to his greatest joy; becoming an ordained Minister.
Charles is preceded in death by his Mother Janie Mae Neal, Father Jimmie Lee Williamson, Brother Eddie Robert Williamson, Sister Rosa Mae Williamson, Aunt Lucy and Uncle Lawsia Ervin.
Charles is also blessed to be the proud brother of Sophia N. Williamson-Thompson, Lucille Williamson-Walker, Jimmie L. Williamson, Sara G. Blake (Charlie), Wille Mae Watson, Charles Murry, David Williamson, and Andre Bobby Ervin. He is also the well-loved Uncle to many of his cherished nieces and nephews.
Charles leaves behind the most cherished love for his wife Angelita Patterson, his two daughters with whom he had with Rebecca Godwin; Jennifer Williamson; her three sons Kijuan, Jamari, and Tremayne Jr. also his daughter Marissa Williamson her fiancé, Donald Robinson Jr. with their soon to be twin daughters. His three bonus daughters; Summer Kennard and her fiancé Dean Cole, Shardae Patterson her husband James Robledo their children Legend, Lyric, Lenox and Kendra as well as Shanelle Patterson and her husband Anthony Griffin and their children Naliyah and Naia.
Charles had the most amazing ability to connect, love, cherish and bless all of those that came in close contact with him no matter how big or small. We are honored to have had him as the most guiding light in our family that gave him his most treasured titles; Husband, Father, Grandfather, Minister, Sergeant First Class, Solider, Mentor, Friend, and most important; a true Man of God.
