Barbara Bobbie Maloney

Barbara W. Maloney, “Bobbie”, age 69 of Rock Hill formerly of Chester SC entered in to rest Thursday September 23, 2021.

She was born October 15, 1951 to the late Wylie A. Bass Sr. and Alice Thomason Bass. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gaines Daniel Maloney and three sisters, Louise Atkinson, Julia Bass and Alice Bass.

Mrs. Maloney worked at the Rock Hill Country Club, Spring Maid Mills and the Squire Restaurant in Chester. Barbara was a member of Catawba Baptist Church, Mom loved sitting on her porch with Sandy her four-legged companion watching hummingbirds and other woodland animals play in herself made sanctuary. She loved her family with all her heart, especially her granddaughters. She had a love of singing, dancing and beach trips with her sisters. Barbara also enjoyed our big Christmas gathering with all her family and loved ones, this was such a special time for all of us. She will be deeply missed by all those lives she touched over the years.

Survivors include one son; Leslie D Watts and his wife Brenda of Ravenal SC, one daughter; Jennifer Watts and her wife Heather Clifton of Gastonia NC, one stepson; Chris Maloney and his wife Nicole, four grandchildren; Arizona Watts, Cheyenne Watts, Austin Watts and Leighton Watts. Four sisters; Sarah Walker, Carol Causey and Susie Thompson, one brother Wylie Bass Jr. and two sisters-in-laws; Patty Frost and Micki Smith.

A memorial service will be held from 12noon until 1:00pm Sunday September 26, 2021 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel.
