Alma Mae (Lowery) Simms

Alma Mae Lowery Simms "Lulu", 95 of Clover, SC formerly of Kannapolis, NC peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. 

She was born May 1, 1925 in Chesterfield County SC to Charlie and Bessie Knight Lowery.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Marvin Simms, 2 Brothers Louie and Eustace Lowery, 2 Sons Brooks Lowery and Melvin Simms, 2 Daughters Ruth Jacobs and Doris Mabry, Grandson Jim Beam and Great Grandson Anthony Greene. 

 Most important to her was spending time with her family. She also loved watching wrestling, cooking, sewing and especially quilting doing this up to a few months before her passing. 

She will forever be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and Friend to everyone she met. 

Alma leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by her survivors, Daughter Dixie Beam of Clover, SC. Grandchildren Mark Jackson of Charlotte, NC, Dedra Beam of Clover, SC, James Jackson and Melissa Williams of Kannapolis, NC, Tammy Jeffers of Lynnfield, Mass, Misty Mabry of Jacksonville, NC, Jimmy Jacobs Jr. of Lancaster, SC and Daniel Simms of Mocksville, NC. 14 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held by the family on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10am at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly in Lake Wylie, SC, where she attended. 

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all hospice nurses, physicians, staff and friends for their unwavering, passionate and supportive care that was provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
