Alexander Joseph Fincher

Alexander “Alex” Joseph Fincher of Rock Hill, SC passed from this life on January 18, 2023. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Alex was born in Rock Hill, SC on December 10, 2004. He was the son of Shadd Fincher and Jessica Racine Fincher Davis. He was a loving son to his parents and a devoted brother to his siblings. He attended church at Harvest Ministries in Rock Hill. He attended Sunset Park Elementary School, Saluda Trail Middle School, and South Pointe High School. He was preparing to enter college. He earned several academic achievement awards and he excelled in many interests. He was working in construction with his dad and he was employed as a lighting technician. He was musically gifted and enjoyed playing guitar. He was an avid fisherman, going on many fishing trips with his dad. He was an in line speedskater and he enjoyed going to the skating rink with his younger brother.  He also loved playing video games with his brother and friends. Alex was a bit of a daredevil and was never afraid to conquer something new and exciting. He loved riding roller coasters and his passion was riding his dirt bike. He adored his dog Casper who will truly miss him.

Alex leaves behind: his parents Shadd Fincher and Jessica Davis; his brother Andrew Fincher and sister Alana Fincher of his home; his grandparents Bobby and Wanda Fincher of Rock Hill, his great-grandmother Annie Mae Zirkle of York, his uncles and aunts Lamont and Summer Massey of Rock Hill, Matthew and Kristin Racine of Tampa, Florida,  and Mark and Josie Racine of San Antonio, Texas; his beloved first cousins Trey Thatcher of Rock Hill, Mason and Ava Racine of Tampa, Florida and Jonathan Racine of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of extended family members in Michigan and SC. He is preceded in death by his brother Christian Fincher of Rock Hill, his maternal grandmother Michele Racine of Michigan, and his paternal great-grandfather Sam Zirkle of York, SC and great grandparents Florence and Wilburn Fincher.
 

Funeral service will be held at Harvest Ministries Church on Anderson Road in Rock Hill, SC Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 5:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 4:00 PM prior to the service. There will also be a visitation at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home on Heckle Blvd in Rock Hill,SC on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather at other times at the home of his grandparents Bobby and Wanda Fincher.  Memorials may be made to Harvest Ministries Church and to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
